The Problem
Peeling paint on the siding, bare wood exposed at the trim corners, and a dated tan-and-brown color scheme that had been the same since 1997.
What We Did
Full exterior repaint in SW Oyster White with Sage Green trim. 2 days of prep (wash, scrape, prime) followed by 2 days of finish coat application. The owners described it as 'a completely different house.' 5-year warranty.
Interior Painting — Full House Repaint, NE Portland

The Problem
A 2,100 sq ft home with every room a different color — the result of years of small projects. The homeowners wanted a cohesive neutral palette ahead of putting the house on the market.
What We Did
Lisa Chen worked with the homeowners to select a harmonious palette (SW Accessible Beige walls, Alabaster trim, soft white ceilings throughout). 4-day project covering all 8 rooms, including closets.
Cabinet Refinishing — Kitchen Transformation, Lake Oswego

The Problem
Original 1992 oak cabinets with heavy grain that had been painted once before with a roller. The finish was peeling at the edges and uneven throughout.
What We Did
Stripped to bare wood, filled and sanded smooth, sealed with shellac primer, and sprayed with BM Advance conversion varnish in a warm white. The grain is now fully hidden under a factory-quality finish. Cost: $2,950 vs. $18,000 for replacement.
Deck Staining — SE Portland Composite Repair & Stain

The Problem
A 400 sq ft cedar deck with significant weathering, greying, and three boards with soft rot at the rim joist. The previous stain (a film-forming product) had peeled in sheets.
What We Did
Replaced 3 rotted boards, cleaned the deck with an oxygen bleach wash, sanded raised grain, and applied Cabot Australian Timber Oil in Driftwood Gray — a penetrating stain that can’t peel. The deck looks better than when it was built.
