Our exterior process starts with a thorough pressure wash, followed by hand scraping and sanding all loose paint, priming bare wood (we never skip the primer), and caulking every gap around windows, trim, and penetrations. Then two finish coats of Sherwin-Williams Duration or Emerald. We can match any existing color or help you select a new one with Lisa's help.

Interior painting is where details matter most — crisp edges, consistent sheen, no lap marks. We move and cover furniture, patch and sand all nail holes and minor imperfections before painting, and cut in by hand (we don't rely on tape alone). We use Sherwin-Williams Emerald Interior for walls and ProClassic for trim — both are washable and hold up to Portland's busy households.

Cabinet Refinishing
Cabinet refinishing is the most prep-intensive work we do. Doors come off, hardware comes off, and everything gets cleaned, deglossed, and primed before finish coats go on. We spray a conversion varnish that's significantly harder and more durable than brush-applied paint — the finish is comparable to factory cabinetry. Available in any color, flat to high-gloss sheen.

Deck Staining
Deck staining in Portland is primarily about protecting against moisture and UV. We start with a thorough cleaning (oxygen bleach wash), sanding rough areas and raised grain, then applying a premium penetrating stain like Cabot Australian Timber Oil or Armstrong Clark. If boards need replacement, we handle that before staining. We don't use film-forming deck paints — they peel, period.
